1. THE DATA CONTROLLER

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

The Data Controller is Uniwersytet Technologiczno-Przyrodniczy im. Jana i Jędrzeja Śniadeckich w Bydgoszczy Al. prof. S. Kaliskiego 7, 85-796 Bydgoszcz, the owner and controler of web site: www.scegeo.utp.edu.pl – SCEgeo Conference.

2. PERSONAL DATA SOURCE

a) Contact form at www.scegeo.utp.edu.pl – name, surname and e-mail address are required.

b) Comments under entries – if you want to leave a comment, you must provide your name, surname and email address. The content management system saves the IP address, which along with the email address is visible only to the site administrator.

c) Newsletter subscription – the module that supports sending the newsletter saves the given data in the local conference database.

3. PURPOSE OF PERSONAL DATA STORAGE AND PROCESSING

a) contact in response to a question sent using the contact form,
b) publication of comments under entries,
c) sending the newsletter to the e-mail address provided,
d) compliance with fiscal and accounting obligations,
e) marketing,
f) analyst,
g) statistics,
h) archive.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

4. WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT FOR STORAGE AND/OR PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Consent to the processing of personal data can be withdrawn at any time.

In the case of contact via the contact form or via e-mail address – appending a removal request at the end of the message.

If you publish a comment under the entries – delete the comment (the data will be deleted from the database).

If you subscribe to the newsletter – cancel the subscription in the newsletter footer permanently removed from the database.

In the case of cookies, clean the files in the browser used and disable them for the SCEgeo Conference page.

5. ENTITLEMENTS TO THE DATA CONTROLER IN THE AREA OF PROCESSED DATA

The Controller guarantees the fulfillment of all rights arising from the general data protection regulation, i.e. the right to access, rectify and delete data, limit their processing, the right to transfer them, not to be subject to automated decision making, including profiling, as well as the right to object to data processing personal information.

This does not apply to any data that the Controller of the SCEgeo Conference website is required to maintain for administrative, legal or security reasons or necessary to meet fiscal and accounting obligations.

6. SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data saved as a result of contact via the contact form / e-mail, commenting on entries or subscription to the newsletter are not disclosed to third entities. Only the site Controller has access to them.

The SCEgeo Conference organizing committee may share data such as email, name and surname needed to co-organize the conference or other events with other entities, about which users will be informed.

7. PERIOD OF STORING PERSONAL DATA

In the case of users registered on the conference website, the data is stored for the period necessary to perform administrative activities.

Personal data obtained as a result of the inquiry via the contact form is stored on the mail server until communication stops, then deleted from the server.

Personal data obtained as a result of leaving comments under entries are stored until they are manually deleted.

Personal data obtained as a result of subscribing to the newsletter is stored until the user does not cancel subscription. Cookie files are stored for 365 days after visiting the website and agreeing to the use of cookies.

8. COOKIES POLICY

Using the conference website involves sending queries to the server. Each query directed to the server is saved in the analytical module. The information saved includes IP address, server date and time, information about the web browser and the operating system used by the user.

The data in the analytical module server are not associated with specific people using the website and are not used by the Controller to identify the user. The analytical data are only auxiliary material used to administer the application, and their content is not disclosed to anyone except persons authorized to administer the server.

We use “permanent” and “session” cookies. “Permanent” cookies remain in the device’s web browser until they are deleted by the user or until a predetermined time specified in the cookie file parameters. “Session” cookies remain in your browser until you turn it off or log out of the website on which they were posted. All modern browsers allow you to enable or disable the cookie mechanism (it is usually enabled by default). If the user does not want to receive cookies, he can change the settings of his web browser. It can also leave the current page (close its browser window).

9. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

The Controller reserves the right to amend this Policy by publishing a new version of the Policy on the website.
